Welcome back from a great Thanksgiving! I hope you got a chance to view your child's powerpoints. We had a lot of fun learning how to insert pictures and noises. We will be making another one for the holiday open house. Thanks to Jaxton's uncle for taking great pictures of our class and the med flight helicopter. What a great opportunity to be able to see it up close and personal. What an amazing group of parents and students we have at our school to help us in the Jubilee of trees.
Mrs. Hancey has posted some cool new sites on her school homepage. She has invited our class to go check them out. Have fun!!! Don't forget to do Firstinmath everyday.
Mr. Andersen's class is getting a little cocky.

Thank you so much for coming to your child's SEP this week.  Our class had 100%.  It was fun discussing your child's progress and what they needed to improve-----writing a good summary.  We had a great lesson on Veteran's and each child has written a letter to a soldier. They were amazing and I can't wait to send them on.  Tomorrow is science day, then we are on to Thanksgiving.  On Monday we will be meeting a new author--M'Lyn Rowley, she writes the Knights of  Right series.  Books about standing strong against evil.   We read one to day and will be writing summaries and pictures to give to her.  Have a great weekend and thanks for your great kids.

August 22,2009

I am so excited to have met our class and be getting into a routine. I am so lucky to have all smart kids with a great sense of humor to boot. I am almost finished testing--the math, spelling and writing were all excellent. I will be testing reading this week. I will be discussing results at SEPs next week. Watch for the note to remind you of when you signed up. My daughter got married last Friday so now my head is totally in the game. Mrs. McAlmond is going to start coming in to help and I will be setting up schedules with those of you that want to help in the classroom over SEPs. We need one more week to get the spelling program ready so this will be another list week. Thanks for your patience. Have a great week. Mrs. Perry
